The best pots are poems, which, as Paul Celan says, are always only ‘scores’.

A poem is always a translation into words, and its reading, another possible translation. Poems are multivalent becomings. There can never be a singular, definitive meaning eked out of a poem. There can never be an ‘absolute poem’.

Nor a bowl. Here is my bowl, one might say, as one could say here is my poem. These are haptic ones. Holdings. Carriers. And scores for playing.
